Versatile 7/8-inch TC Finishing in Loose and 4-Ply Formats
Dedeco Sunburst 7/8″ TC radial bristle discs provide a compact and versatile finishing system for cleaning, deburring, blending and polishing small components, contours and detailed surfaces.
Abrasive is distributed throughout the moulded polymer bristles, allowing fresh cutting points to remain available as the bristle tips wear. The standard TC profile combines useful surface coverage with the flexibility needed to follow curves, edges and irregular geometries.
Choose between a single loose disc for individual use or configurable stacking and a 4-ply set with mandrel containing four matching discs and the mounting required to build one wider working wheel.
Why Choose TC Bristles?
Flexible Contour Conformity
Dedeco TC bristles—also described as Type C in comparable radial bristle systems—use a curved and flexible construction that follows contours, profiles and detailed surfaces.
Versatile Standard Profile
The standard-profile disc balances working-face coverage with precise control, making it suitable for general finishing where Dual or Knife-Edge constructions are not required.
Configurable Working Width
Use a single disc for narrow contact or stack matching discs on an MM503 mandrel to create a broader and more stable working face.
Standard Profile, Dual or Knife-Edge?
Choose the standard TC profile for versatile cleaning, blending and polishing across general components, contours and accessible details.
Choose Dual discs when faster cutting and heavier deburring are required, or Knife-Edge discs for grooves, prongs, channels and other narrow-access areas.
Typical Applications
- Removing oxidation, light fire scale and surface contamination
- Cleaning and refining cast jewellery and small precision components
- Light deburring around edges, profiles and machined features
- Blending surface marks and transitions between worked areas
- Smoothing and preparing surfaces before finer finishing stages
- Cleaning contacts, detailed castings and intricate geometries
- Fine finishing and pre-polishing with the finer grades
Suitable Materials
These discs can be used across suitable precious and non-ferrous metals, steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and bronze. They are also suitable for selected wood, acrylic and plastic applications.
Always test the selected grade on an inconspicuous area first, particularly on softer, coated or heat-sensitive materials. Begin with the finest grade capable of producing the required result.
Choose a Loose Disc or 4-Ply Mandrel Set
Single Loose Disc
The loose format is one individual 7/8″ standard-profile TC disc with a 1/16″ (1.6mm) centre hole. A compatible MM503 screw-top mandrel is required and sold separately.
- Supplied as one loose radial bristle disc
- Use individually or stack matching discs to increase the working width
- Compatible with MM503 mandrels in 2.35mm and 3mm shank options
- Mandrel is not included
Use matching discs of the same grade and align every disc in the same direction of rotation when building a stack.
4-Ply Set with 2.35mm Mandrel
This format contains four matching discs of one grade and a 2.35mm (3/32″) MM503 screw-top mandrel. Once assembled, the set forms a wider 4-ply radial wheel with a more stable working face.
- Four matching standard-profile TC discs
- One 2.35mm MM503 screw-top mandrel
- Discs are supplied loose for protection during transit
- Thread all four discs onto the mandrel before use
If your machine requires a 3mm shank, choose loose discs and the separate 3mm MM503 mandrel instead.

Operating & Safety Guidance
- Operating range: 3,000-18,000 RPM
- Woodworking reference speed: Approximately 5,000 RPM
- Never exceed the lowest maximum speed stated for the disc, mandrel or machine
- Confirm that the mandrel shank matches the tool or collet before use
- Do not use these 1.6mm-centre discs with an MM304 mandrel
- When stacking discs, use matching grades and align every bristle in the same direction
- Install the discs so the tail of each curved bristle follows the direction of rotation
- Tighten the screw-top mandrel securely before starting the machine
- Use the bristle tips with light pressure and avoid excessive side loading
- Keep the tool moving to control localised heat and uneven wear
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment and machine guarding
