A Complete 4-Ply Finishing System
The Dedeco Sunburst® 7/8″ TC 4-ply mounted set is designed for users who want a consistent, ready-configured finishing tool without the need to assemble individual discs.
By supplying four discs of the same grade along with a matched mandrel, this set ensures correct setup and performance from the outset—eliminating the trial-and-error often associated with building your own stack.
Why Use a 4-Ply Configuration?
When multiple discs are stacked together, the bristles overlap to create a denser, more stable abrasive surface.
This results in:
Wider Working Face
Covers more surface area per pass, improving efficiency.
Improved Consistency
A more even contact across the workpiece reduces uneven finishing.
Extended Working Life
Load is distributed across multiple discs, reducing wear rate.
Balanced Performance
Maintains flexibility while providing enough density for effective material removal.
Supplied with MM503 Mandrel
Each set includes an MM503 screw-top mandrel (2.35mm / 3/32″), ensuring:
- Secure mounting
- True-running rotation
- Compatibility with standard rotary tools
Suitable for use with:
- Micromotors
- Flexible shaft machines
- Dremel-style rotary tools

Typical Applications
Jewellery & Casting
- Removing investment and oxidation
- Blending surfaces and preparing for polishing
Dental & Precision Work
- Finishing alloys and acrylics
- Cleaning detailed geometries
Engineering & tooling
- Deburring small components
- Surface conditioning and preparation
Setup & Operating Guidelines
- Recommended speed: 3,000 – 18,000 RPM
- Maximum speed: 30,000 RPM
Assembly
Discs are supplied loose for protection during shipping. Thread all four discs onto the mandrel before use.
Orientation
Ensure the curved bristles are aligned with the direction of rotation. The “tail” of the bristle should follow the rotation for optimal performance.
Technique
Use light pressure and allow the bristles to conform naturally to the surface.
