The Dedeco Sunburst 1″ (25mm) TC radial bristle disc is the largest standard screw-mounted disc in the compact Sunburst range, designed for industrial deburring, aggressive cleaning and larger surface finishing applications.
With a 3mm centre hole and access to ultra-coarse grades unavailable in smaller formats, these discs are built to handle increased load, higher torque and more demanding materials.

Industrial-Grade Finishing with 1-inch Sunburst Discs
The Dedeco Sunburst 1″ TC radial disc range is designed for applications where standard 7/8″ discs do not provide sufficient coverage or cutting performance.
The increased diameter delivers greater surface contact, improved efficiency on larger components and more stable performance under load.
Combined with a 3mm centre hole and access to ultra-coarse grades, these discs are ideally suited to industrial deburring, fabrication, restoration and heavy-duty surface conditioning.
The 1″ range includes 36 grit (Brown) and 50 grit (Dark Green) options – significantly more aggressive than the standard 80 grit entry point found in smaller radial discs.
These grades are ideal for:
- Removing heavy corrosion and mill scale

- Rapid deburring of thick or hard materials

Mounting & Compatibility
These discs feature a 3mm centre hole, giving users two mounting approaches depending on the application.
MM304 Mandrel
(Recommended for Single Discs)
The MM304 uses a 3mm screw for a centred, secure fit and is the preferred option for:
- Single-disc use
- Secure centred mounting
- Higher-RPM precision work
MM503 Mandrel
(Recommended for Stacking)
Many professionals use the MM503 mandrel when stacking multiple 1″ discs together.
Although the MM503 uses a smaller 1.6mm screw, tightening several discs together against the mandrel shoulder creates a secure, flexible abrasive mop suitable for broader surface finishing.
Important:
MM304 = best for secure centred mounting
MM503 = best for wider stacked configurations

Operating Guidelines
Recommended Speed:
3,000 – 18,000 RPM (5,000 RPM for woodworking)
Setup:
- Stack 3 – 6 discs for optimal flexibility and surface conformity
- Ensure bristle curvature follows rotation direction
Technique:
- Use light to moderate pressure
- Allow the bristles to perform the cutting action
- Progress sequentially through grits for best finish quality
