Large-Format TC Radial Finishing in Loose and Ready-Mounted Formats

Dedeco Sunburst 6″ TC radial bristle discs provide a flexible, controlled finishing action for cleaning, deburring, blending and polishing larger components. Abrasive is distributed throughout the moulded polymer bristles, allowing fresh cutting points to remain available as the bristle tips wear.

The thin, curved TC bristles provide greater conformity than Dedeco’s firmer, angled TA construction. They follow contours, profiles, edges and irregular surfaces with less manipulation while remaining suitable for broad surface finishing.

Choose between a single loose disc for replacement or configurable wheel building and a complete eight-lap wheel assembly for a defined working width with the mounting components included.

Why Choose TC Bristles?

Flexible Contour Conformity

Dedeco TC bristles—also described as Type C in comparable radial bristle systems—use a curved and flexible construction. This allows the bristles to follow contours and detailed surfaces while providing controlled cleaning, blending and finishing.

Controlled Surface Contact

The moulded abrasive bristles clean, deburr and refine the surface without the loose wire filaments associated with wire wheels. The open bristle structure also helps control loading and localised heat when used with light pressure.

Coarse-to-Fine Finishing

TC or TA: Which Bristle Type Should You Choose?

Suitable Materials

Always test the selected grade on an inconspicuous area first, particularly on softer, coated or heat-sensitive materials. Begin with the finest grade capable of producing the required result.

Choose Loose Discs or an 8-Lap Wheel Assembly

Single Loose Disc

The loose format is one individual 6″ TC disc with a 2″ (50mm) centre hole. It is intended for replacing worn leaves or building a working wheel with an existing compatible mounting system.

Supplied as one loose radial bristle disc

Use six to eight loose discs of the same bristle type and grade to form one supported working wheel

Loose discs must not be mounted individually or directly onto an unsupported shaft, spindle or pigtail.

Eight-Lap Wheel Assembly

The assembled format contains eight matching TC discs pre-assembled into a wheel approximately 1/2″ (12.7mm) wide. It provides a complete option for users who do not want to build a wheel from loose leaves or do not already have a mounting system.

Recommended operating speed: 1,500–4,000 RPM
Maximum permitted speed: 6,000 RPM
Never exceed the lowest maximum speed stated for the disc, adapter or machine
TC bristles are single-directional; install every disc in the correct and consistent direction of rotation
Use the bristle tips with light, controlled pressure rather than forcing the wheel into the workpiece
Allow the bristles to follow the workpiece geometry without excessive side loading
Keep the workpiece moving to limit localised heat and uneven wear
Check the flange, adapter and shaft fit before starting the machine
Use suitable machine guarding and personal protective equipment
Use suitable flat or cupped side-support washers where required by the wheel and machine configuration
