How to polish glass
Glass is much harder than plastic, so it takes patience. Keep the felt and glass damp, work in small overlapping circles, and let the compound do the cutting. Don’t let the glass get hot.
Light surface scratches and water marks polish out well. Scratches you can catch with a fingernail are usually too deep to remove without distorting the glass, and chips are best left to a glazier. We don’t recommend polishing car windscreens.

Yes, light scratches and scuffs. Deep scratches and chips can’t be removed without affecting how the glass looks.
Is it safe on a car windscreen?
We don’t recommend it. Polishing can cause slight distortion, which matters on a windscreen.
